Speaking to Sky Italia after last night's 3-2 victory over Fiorentina, Greco said: "I hoped to play from the start after doing quite well in the derby.

"I am happy that the mister had faith in me. The goal against Basel in the Champions League was fundamental because further to being a personal satisfaction it was a repayment for the work I have done in recent months.

"That goal was a good point of departure," he concluded.
