Gosens and Locatelli gear up for Juventus-Inter

Robin Gosens hopes the Coppa Italia semi-final can be the moment that ‘changes a season’ for Inter, while Manuel Locatelli warns it is ‘all about the details’ for Juventus.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

This is the first leg and the decider will be at San Siro on April 26, but the away goals rule no longer applies from this season.

Inter go into this clash off three consecutive Serie A defeats that saw them drop to joint fourth place with Roma.

“It is a difficult time and a tough opponent, but these are the moments that can change a season and negative period,” Gosens told Inter TV.

“Juve are in good shape, but if we return to being what we all know, then we can be even more positive. Positivity is what we need in this important month.”

The Nerazzurri have not only seen the results dry up recently, but also the goals, so what is happening?

“In all honesty, there is no need to explain what is going wrong, the fact is we are not scoring goals and we lost to Fiorentina. Football goes on, there is no point looking over our shoulders at the past. Today there is a game that can change everything.”

Juventus midfielder Locatelli also spoke to Sport Mediaset in the build-up to this evening’s match and discussed their current form.

“You need balance in these fixtures. Motivation for the big matches comes by itself, it’s all about the details and concentration. We need to focus on our own gameplan, use intensity and bring home the victory.”

The Bianconeri are climbing up the Serie A table despite their off the field problems, including a 15-point penalty and various other legal battles.

“We are managing to isolate ourselves by focusing only on the pitch, that is what we are paid for and we must sweat hard for this shirt.”
