Sebastian Giovinco has revealed that he is ‘very excited’ for his reunion with Juventus as an MLS All-Star on Thursday.
Giovinco began his career at Juve, playing for the club across two spells, before taking football in North America by storm with Toronto FC.
“I’m very excited to meet again my old friends,” the No 10 told MLS’ official website ahead of the friendly.
“It will be a nice moment to see everybody. We’ll try to have as much fun as possible.
“[In the beginning, it] was always to have fun. Then [it] became like work. For me, was a very beautiful experience. It was good.
“It was difficult because I left all my friends. But then I met other friends and with them I grew up. Not difficult, [it] was fun.
“We won a lot with the academy. The best part was my debut with the first team. That was the best moment.
“The game is only for fun. It’s important, but not like a Final. It’s a friendly match, so I don’t know.”
The 31-year-old then discussed his 2015 transfer to Toronto, his current relationship with the Bianconeri and Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in Turin.
“It was difficult because me and my family we changed our lives completely. After a bit, we started to know Toronto, and then it became simple, he continued.
“I [still] talk with some guys [from Juve]. I follow [their results], but [it’s] not like when you play with the team. You follow [them] because you have some friends.
“For Juve, for all Italy, for the movement, [Ronaldo] is a big transfer.”
