“Against Real Madrid they played very well and it was a good performance, as they were unfortunate to lose 2-0.”
Palermo have also brought in a new Coach this week, or rather returned an old one, as Beppe Iachini is back after he was dismissed in November.
“My first goal in a Rosanero jersey was against Roma in October, so I hope to replicate it. Gervinho was devastating in that game and fortunately he’s no longer playing for them,” added Gilardino.
Palermo will wear black armbands after the death of defender Edoardo Goldaniga’s father in a car crash.
Achraf Lazaar, Goldaniga and goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino are unavailable for this match.
