“This is a game we ought to win, but we also have to deserve the victory. There will be many dangers, as your position in the table or being favourites does not automatically get you any advantages,” warned the Coach in his Press conference.

“This is a game we ought to win, but we also have to deserve the victory. There will be many dangers, as your position in the table or being favourites does not automatically get you any advantages,” warned the Coach in his Press conference.

“We must not be too hasty and give the ball away cheaply, so I want to see the same approach we had against Udinese, Bologna and SPAL.

“It’s great to count on the extraordinary resource which is our public at Marassi, as in three years I’ve never heard the team jeered.”

Jacopo Sala is back in the squad, but Gianluca Caprari and Edgar Barreto are still out of action, with Nicola Murru suspended.

“Junior Tavares will play at left-back,” confirmed Giampaolo, giving the Brazilian his first Serie A start.

“I can say Manolo Gabbiadini, Gregoire Defrel and Fabio Quagliarella will feature, as could Marco Sau, but I won’t tell you who will start. There is a lack of respect towards Defrel, as he is a player with quality.”
