Reports say Empoli Coach Marco Giampaolo is the favourite to take the Milan job, with Rudi Garcia and Sampdoria’s Vincenzo Montella other options.
Giampaolo led the Tuscan side to an impressive 10th place Serie A finish this season after taking over from Maurizio Sarri last summer.
His good work has not gone unnoticed and after he announced that he would be leaving the club, a Rossoneri move could be on the cards.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Giampaolo is the frontrunner to take over from Cristian Brocchi for next season.

The Empoli man has the backing of Diavolo legend Arrigo Sacchi and his instant availability would ensure minimal problems with the appointment.
Montella has also been suggested as a possible option, although Samp President Massimo Ferrero insisted yesterday that ‘he’ll stay at Sampdoria.’
Alternatives are Garcia, who was sacked by Roma in January, and departing Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
