Emanuele Giaccherini “turns into a giant” on the pitch, said his agent ahead of the expected Napoli debut.
The former Bologna and Sunderland winger picked up an injury pre-season, but has now fully recovered and could feature on Saturday against Palermo.
“Emanuele is an exemplary professional who has always started out underestimated, but with performances earned his place,” Fulvio Valcareggi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“It’s happening again at Napoli. Over the last few weeks there has been little talk about him in the papers, but he turns into a giant on the pitch.
“Look at his stats and you’ll see Giaccherini racks up 13km in every game. Even with Paul Pogba challenging for the same position at Juventus, Emanuele used to play at least 80 per cent of the games in a season.”
The agent notes Giaccherini can also prove useful for Napoli with his versatility.
“He could probably stand in for Marek Hamsik just as much as Lorenzo Insigne.”
