Napoli confirmed Faouzi Ghoulam will have a minor operation on his knee, but fears of a new fracture seem to have been assuaged.
There were concerns over the weekend that the Algeria international had damaged it again after it flared up following new training exercises.
However, today Ghoulam had tests at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome and received reassuring news.
“As planned, tomorrow Faouzi Ghoulam will undergo a small procedure at Villa Stuart to remove the metal pin placed in his knee during his patella surgery.

“The Napoli defender, accompanied by team doctor De Nicola, will be operated on by Professor Mariani.”
Ghoulam tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in November 2017, then just as he was about to make his comeback, fractured the kneecap during a training session in February 2018.
