Napoli have secured their second signing of the 2022-23 season, as Getafe left-back Mathias Olivera should have his medical tomorrow.
According to Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia and more, the 24-year-old Uruguay international is expected to undergo his tests with Napoli doctors at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome on Tuesday.
Getafe President Angel Torres also confirmed to Calcio Napoli 24 that the two clubs had reached an agreement, so “if Mathias Olivera passes the medical tomorrow, he will be a Napoli player.”
The negotiations have been going on for a couple of months already and it is expected to be a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season.
The cost of the operation should be in the region of €11m plus bonuses, while Mathias Olivera agreed a contract worth €1.5m per season.
He made 32 appearances in LaLiga this season, contributing one goal and three assists.
Napoli have already snapped up one player for the summer, Georgia international Kvicha Kvaratskhelia from Dinamo Batumi.
