The Ivorian winger has been in sensational form for the Giallorossi in this season’s Champions League campaign, with two goals and an assist in his opening three games.
The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that, when Bayern come to town tomorrow, the former Arsenal man will line-up alongside Francesco Totti, who was withdrawn early against Chievo in order to be fit to face the German Champions.
Doubt, however, remains about which player will complete the attacking trident. While the Corriere della Sera reports that Juan Iturbe will start Tuesday’s game, Gazzetta believes Iturbe may not be fully recovered from a thigh injury sustained in Roma’s 5-1 victory over CSKA Moscow on matchday one.
Should Iturbe not be fit, Adem Ljajic is favourite to start, after scoring the second goal against Chievo on Saturday.
At the other end of the field, both Il Tempo and the Gazzetta dello Sport report that Kostas Manolas is likely to return after being suspended for the weekend’s action, with Davide Astori in line to partner the Greece international in the Giallorossi defence.
Probable Roma XI to face Bayern Munich: De Sanctis; Maicon, Manolas, Astori, Cole; Pjanic, Nainggolan, De Rossi; Gervinho, Totti, Iturbe
