Genoa lose star trio

Genoa will be without Nicolas Burdisso, Alessio Cerci and Cristian Ansaldi for at least three weeks.

The club released a statement to update the medical situation of its three players.

Burdisso pulled up during the 3-1 defeat to Napoli on Sunday and has been diagnosed with a Grade II tear to the left femoral bicep, which will require at least 40 days on the sidelines.

Cerci also went off during the final minutes of that game and has a Grade I tear to the left femoral bicep, so is expected to be out of action for two to three weeks.
