According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have decided to sign an Under-25 striker for next season, while Maxence Lacroix and Lilian Brassier are the Rossoneri’s top targets in defence.
Milan are already working to strengthen the team for next season, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they have made a key decision on their future centre forward.
Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic’s contracts expire in June and at least one of them could leave, if not both. The pink paper confirms Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko are Milan’s top targets for the attack, but the big update is that the Rossoneri have decided to sign a U25 striker this summer.
Milan have mostly signed experienced centre-forwards over the last few years. Some, like Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, played an important role at San Siro, while others, like Mario Mandzukic and Divock Origi, failed to impress.
According to Gazzetta, Zirkzee is Milan’s primary target in attack. However, €40m may not be enough to sign him from Bologna while paying the same fee would probably allow them to secure Sesko’s signature.
Gazzetta also reports that Wolfsburg’s Lacroix and Brest’s Brassier are the Rossoneri’s top targets in defence for 2024-25, but Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo is also an option as his contract expires in June 2024.
