Gazzetta: Inter sponsor hasn’t made first payment

Inter‘s main sponsor Digitalbits have not made their first payment to the Nerazzurri, according to reports in Italy.

The Blockchain signed an agreement with the 2020-21 Serie A champions worth €85 million over four years.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport report there has been an issue with Inter not receiving the initial payment and, in response, will hide the sponsor on their shirts.

DigitalBits is a protocol layer blockchain which is focused on aiding consumer digital assets, specifically branded currencies and launched the criptovalute XDB.

The Nerazzurri’s main sponsor for 2021-22 was Socios.com, replacing Pirelli. They tyre company had been the club’s long-standing sponsor prior to this.

Inter face Lyon on Saturday in their fourth pre-season friendly before a final warm-up clash with Villarreal on Aug. 6 and the new season starts with a visit to newly promoted Lecce a week later.
