Gennaro Gattuso has insisted that Milan are ‘alive and well’ ahead of Tuesday’s Serie A match against Udinese, despite back-to-back defeats.
Milan had won five consecutive Serie A games and gone three months without a League defeat, but losses to Inter and Sampdoria have dealt a blow to their hopes of a return to the Champions League.
“We come into the game from two bad results, but the team are alive and well,” Gattuso said at a Press conference.

“We come into the game from two bad results, but the team are alive and well,” Gattuso said at a Press conference.
“We’re aware of the difficulties we’ve been faced with, but we’re not dead. The right cure for everything is winning.
“The characteristics of the various referees should also be understood. For example, Orsato likes to whistle little.
“You have to know how to talk to referees. There were a couple of dubious incidents against Sampdoria, but we must accept them.We can’t blame refereeing decisions.
“We’re all rowing on the same boat and I’m calm. Our objective is to return to the Champions League and we’re all sticking together to make it happen.
“I’ve heard about all the talk concerning my relationship with Leonardo, but we’ve already talked to each other.”
Gattuso was then asked about the mental state of his side and Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose howler gifted Samp the win.
“The criticism is there, but he’s calm,” he assured.
“He’s shown his face and taken his responsibilities. It can happen.
“For us tomorrow’s game is crucial. We’ll have to take to the field with the right attitude.
“It’s clear that when you lose a derby, some mental waste stays behind, but now we must focus only on Udinese and nothing else.”
