Gattuso linked with replacing Juric at Torino

According to Tuttosport, Gennaro Gattuso is one of Torino‘s candidates to replace Ivan Juric at the end of the season.

The Granata have earned 16 points in the opening 12 Serie A games this season, but Juric’s time at the club could end when his contract expires in June 2024.

Talks to extend his current deal have been put on hold and according to Friday’s printed edition of Tuttosport (page 10) it is likely Juric will leave the Stadio Grande Torino at the end of the campaign.

According to the report, Gattuso is one of the candidates to replace the Croatian tactician next summer.

Gattuso, a 2006 Italy World Cup winner, has recently been appointed by Ligue 1 side Marseille, but his contract also expires this coming June.

Torino President Urbano Cairo is said to have other names on his agenda, including Igor Tudor and Thiago Motta but both coaches are waiting for calls from bigger clubs so they’d likely snub an offer from the Granata.

Motta is also negotiating a contract extension with Bologna as his current deal runs out this coming June.
