Ganz: ‘Juve, but I wanted Milan’

Como striker Simone Andrea Ganz confirmed he has signed a four-year contract with Juventus.
Como striker Simone Andrea Ganz confirmed he has signed a four-year contract with Juventus. “I expected more from Milan.”

The 22-year-old is the son of former Inter and Rossoneri hitman Maurizio Ganz and became a starlet in his own right with 16 Serie B goals this season.

“It has been a wonderful experience and scoring 16 goals in my first Serie B campaign is important,” he told TMW.

“It’s a shame about the relegation, as I wanted to save Como after fighting to the end. On a personal level, I am obviously happy at my performance.”

Despite growing up in the Milan youth academy, Ganz was sold to Como in July 2014.

“Milan was the place where I grew up and a club I have to thank. I would’ve expected things to go differently, but this is football.

“I have signed a four-year contract with Juventus, the most important club in Italy, so I’m happy.”
