Adriano Galliani admits Carlos Tevez “is absolutely my biggest regret” but believes Milan have shown to be “on a par” with Juventus pre-Supercoppa.
Milan were heavily tipped to sign Tevez in 2012 after his bust-up with Roberto Mancini at Manchester City, but the Rossoneri failed to broker a deal for the forward, who ended up winning consecutive Scudetti with Juve.
“Tevez? It’s absolutely my biggest regret. I think Tevez was a watershed between Milan and Juventus,” the Vice-President told Telelombardia.

“Unfortunately in football, there are no counterproofs. I have a great relationship with Kia [Joorabchian] and Carlitos.
“We’d had a good relationship with Juve for many years. Like all relationships, there are ups and downs, but now it’s back to being very good.
“Supercoppa? At San Siro in the spring, we lost 2-1 but absolutely played on a par with Juventus. It should’ve been a draw in terms of the run of play.
“In the Coppa Italia final. we lost in extra time, again playing on a par with them. In October, we beat Juve always playing on a par with them.
“We met them three times, lost twice and won once, but in quotation marks, they could’ve been three draws.
“For this, I didn’t see many differences in terms of play between Milan and Juventus.
“I hope that on Friday, it goes as it did in the autumn rather than spring.”
