Milan vice-President Adriano Galliani is determined to reinforce his squad, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Axel Witsel all reported targets.
The Rossoneri have faced a difficult week after missing out on Jackson Martinez to Atletico Madrid and Geoffrey Kondogbia to Inter despite being close to deals for both players.
La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported today that Galliani stated “a great midfielder and a great striker will arrive.”
The San Siro club are believed to be looking to Paris Saint-Germain for both of their attacking targets, Ibrahimovic and Cavani.
Gazzetta believes that a deal for the Uruguayan would cost up to €60m on top of his high wage demands, believed to be in the region of €10m per season.
The newspaper also believes that the Rossoneri haven’t given up hope of bringing back Ibra, who has reportedly received an increased salary but not the desired contract extension.
It has also been reported that Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Witsel has replaced Kondogbia as the club’s number one midfield target.
However, the 26-year-old is believed to be interesting other clubs including Juventus if Paul Pogba leaves, and a bidding war could result in the Belgian becoming too expensive.
