Galatasaray and Denmark both want Stryger Larsen

Galatasaray and Fiorentina are battling over Udinese and Denmark wing-back Jens Stryger Larsen.

The 30-year-old plays as a right-back or a right wing-back, but can also work on the left or in central defence.

He impressed for Denmark at UEFA EURO 2020 and now has two goals in 42 senior caps.

His contract with Udinese is due to expire in June 2022 and a sale has been suggested this season.

Stryger could remain in Serie A with Fiorentina, but the Viola have baulked at the €6m asking price, according to Tutto Udinese.

That is also because Galatasaray have made an offer of circa €4m, claims the Gazzetta dello Sport, and that is not considered to be enough for a sale.

Stryger Larsen first joined Udinese from Austria Vienna for just €500,000 in the summer of 2017, while before that he had represented Brondby and Nordsjaelland.

He has 140 appearances for Udinese in all competition, in which he scored five goals and assist eight.
