Four more Salernitana players have tested positive for COVID, meaning they’ll have nine players out of action when Serie A resumes on Thursday.
The newly-promoted Serie A side were banned from travelling to Udine for the last game of 2021 as three of their players had tested positive for COVID.
More cases have emerged over the last few days, and today, Salernitana announced that the swab tests of four more players and a staff member came back positive.
Nine Salernitana players and two staff members are currently in quarantine. The Granata will host Venezia at the Stadio Arechi on Thursday at 17.30 UK time. At the moment, the game is not at risk of being postponed.
