Fiorentina have announced a partnership deal with Indian club Pune FC. “We’ll study their most interesting players.”

“Eduardo Macia and I liked this project straight away,” explained Fiorentina director of sport Daniele Pradè.

“We were not well-versed on Indian football and therefore put ourselves in the hands of an ‘explorer’ like Franco Colomba, who will be our man on the ground to see what we can build in India.

“This will be a year of observation, where we’ll study their most interesting players and decide who could come to Italy next season.

“India can also be a place for all our players who want a new challenge in their careers. Will we send our youth team players to India? Not for now, no.”
