Fiorentina defeated Arezzo 2-1 in their final pre-season friendly with goals from Valentin Eysseric and Jordan Veretout.
The Viola were supposed to start their Serie A campaign last week, but the trip to Sampdoria was postponed to September 19 after the Ponte Morandi tragedy in Genoa.
That means Stefano Pioli’s side will begin at the Stadio Franchi with Chievo this Sunday.
They began preparations with a 2-1 friendly win over Arezzo, Pioli starting the probable line-up that will take the field in Serie A.

Veretout is suspended against Chievo, so 24-year-old Dane Christian Nordgaard was given the midfield role, putting Eysseric in attack with Federico Chiesa and Giovanni Simeone.
Eysseric broke the deadlock on an assist from ex-Roma midfielder Gerson, then after numerous substitutions, Veretout came off the bench to convert a penalty.
