Fiorentina’s executive-President Mario Cognini confirms a Stevan Jovetic offer, but he could go to China.

The Viola attempted to bring the Montenegrin striker back to Artemio Franchi on deadline day, but ultimately a deal couldn’t be found with Inter.

“We tried a move on the last day of the window,” Cognini confirmed, as reported by calciomercato.com.

“We tried a move on the last day of the window,” Cognini confirmed, as reported by calciomercato.com.

“I offered €5m gross for the loan, including the payment of his salary. The Chinese owners replied ‘we’re not selling anyone, if he doesn’t play in Italy he’ll play in China’.”

The Suning Group bought the Nerazzurri over the summer, and also own Chinese Superleague side Jiangsu Suning.
