After Juventus were excluded from UEFA competition for the 2023/24 season, it means Fiorentina will take their place in the Conference League play-offs.
The Bianconeri have been ruled out of all men’s club tournaments run by UEFA for this campaign.
That was going to be the Conference League, as they were docked 10 Serie A points for financial irregularities and artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains.
As Juve are excluded, the spot therefore goes to the next team down in the Serie A table, which is eighth-placed Fiorentina.
The Viola are therefore back in the Conference League just weeks after reaching the Final of this tournament, losing 2-1 to West Ham United.
They will begin from the play-offs of the competition, with the draw made on August 7.
The first leg will be played on August 24 and the decider on August 31 to see who goes through to the group phase.
