Fiorentina go for Ribery

Fiorentina are in talks to bring former Bayern Munich and France winger Franck Ribery to the club.

Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia both report Fiorentina are busy trying to sell their project to Ribery.

The 36-year-old is a free agent after leaving Bayern over the summer, and it is understood he has already rejected offers from teams in the Netherlands, Russia and Saudi Arabia.

The Viola have a gap to fill out wide after Marko Pjaca returned to Juventus, so he would not necessarily replace Federico Chiesa.

He also played 81 times for France and was part of the Bleus side who lost to Italy in the 2006 World Cup Final.
