Carlos Dunga is the latest name to be linked with the vacant coaching role at Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

The Viola are searching for a new tactician after Vincenzo Guerini replaced Delio Rossi for the last two games of the season following the latter’s axing.

Claudio Ranieri and current Pescara boss Zdenek Zeman have been paired this week, but now the Corriere dello Sport is mentioning the name of Dunga.

Dunga hasn’t worked since he was replaced by Brazil after the 2010 World Cup Finals. He won the 2007 Copa America and the 2009 Confederations Cup with the Selecao.

The 48-year-old is a former midfielder who knows Fiorentina well after playing for the Tuscan club between 1988 and 1992.

He’s also appeared for Pisa and Pescara in Italy.
