In a sudden development, Fiorentina are reportedly closing in on a free transfer for ex-Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.
Mandzukic is currently unattached after leaving Qatari side Al-Duhail earlier this month.
Now, Sportitalia claims Fiorentina are trying to bring him back to Italy and have offered him a two-year contract worth around €3m a season.
The deal would also include the option of a third year for the 34-year-old.

The Croat won the Scudetto in each of his four full seasons with Juve between 2015 and 2019, scoring 44 goals in 162 appearances.
His spell with Al-Duhail was not so fruitful, netting just once in seven games, although he did link up with former teammate Medhi Benatia.
