Both Roma and Fiorentina have injury problems going into Sunday’s Serie A match, but the Viola bring Lucas Martinez-Quarta and Arthur Melo back.

It kicks off on Sunday at 19.45 GMT after both teams played in Europe on Thursday.

There is a boost for the Viola, who have defender Martinez-Quarta back in the side after he was hospitalised for kidney stones last week.

Arthur Melo has also shaken off an ankle knock to feature and Gaetano Castrovilli is named in the squad for the first time since knee surgery seven months ago.

Christian Kouame is still out after contracting malaria during the Africa Cup of Nations, while Lucas Beltran is suspended.

Roma also have some problems to deal with, as Rasmus Kristensen sits out his ban, with Tammy Abraham the only remaining long-term absentee.

According to the latest reports, Chris Smalling and Renato Sanches will not make the journey to Florence, as the Englishman hurt his ankle in training, while the Portugal international has a slight muscular issue.
