Multiple sources in Italy report that Antonio Conte will agree a three-year contract with Napoli worth €6.5m per season plus bonuses.
The negotiations have been dragging on for weeks, but intensified over the last couple of days when it became apparent that Gian Piero Gasperini would prefer to remain with Atalanta.
Despite all the newspaper speculation and links, Napoli are the only Italian club that made a genuine attempt to sign Conte and he wants a return home to be closer to his family after taking a year out.
According to Sportitalia, DAZN and more, Conte has accepted a pay cut and will receive circa €6.5m per season plus bonuses to sign a three-year contract at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Conte has certain Napoli demands
Naturally, the former Inter and Tottenham boss also demanded reassurances for investment on the transfer market if he is to accept working with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
If there should be problems putting pen to paper, then Stefano Pioli remains the third choice, having just been released by Milan.
