Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre played down his side’s 2-0 defeat to Inter as “until the 70th minute, they created almost nothing.”
Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Antonio Candreva gave Inter their first Champions League win of the season last night, but Favre felt the scoreline was not a fair reflection on proceedings.
“We have respect for everyone, we know we’re in a tough group,” he said after the game.

“We have respect for everyone, we know we’re in a tough group,” he said after the game.
“We played well, we were stable and gave little away. Then they scored from our mistake, but without any glaring chances in the first half and at the start of the second half.
“Until the 70th minute, Inter created almost nothing. We took risks and that’s dangerous because you expose yourself to the counterattack that way.”
