Former Arsenal and Chelsea player Cesc Fabregas took part in a challenge on social media in which he was asked to choose his favourite midfielder only considering players still in activity.

In a video published by Sportmediaset’s Instagram account, Fabregas needed to pick between two options and then decide whether to confirm his choice in the following round.

After telling the journalist not to make him choose between ‘Xavi or Iniesta’, he initially picked Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala over Arsenal’s Declan Rice.

The current Como manager proved a big admirer of Musiala, as he kept choosing him over several midfielders playing for European giants, including Manchester City’s Rodri, Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka, Inter’s Hakan Calhanoglu and even Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham.

Fabregas only changed his mind when he was asked to pick one between Musiala and Kevin De Bruyne, as he admitted he preferred the Manchester City offensive midfielder, who was then confirmed the winner of the challenge even against Real Madrid’s Luka Modric.
