Como are newly promoted to Serie A and coach Cesc Fabregas has reportedly asked his former Barcelona teammate Alexis Sanchez to join the squad.

The forward is a free agent, as his contract with Inter will come to a natural close on June 30.

Currently on international duty in Chile, the 35-year-old has no intention of retiring yet and would like to remain in Serie A for next season.

He still managed to contribute four goals and five assists in 33 competitive games for the Nerazzurri.

Como calling for Alexis Sanchez

While Parma had been linked, Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Alexis Sanchez could join another team promoted from Serie B this summer.

Como got the step up under coach Fabregas and he would appreciate a reunion with El Nino Maravilla, as the pair were teammates at Barcelona from 2011 to 2014.

Considering Como is also in the Lombardy region, it’s entirely possible that Alexis Sanchez would not even have to move house if he joined this new club.
