Roberto Mancini has given the former Fiorentina star an Italy call-up for the upcoming games against Estonia, Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina and it remains to be seen whether Chiesa will be able to play with the Azzurri during the international break.
Giorgio Chiellini has also been ruled out of the game with a muscle injury he sustained durin Saturday's training session at the Continassa.
