“We still haven’t realised what we’ve done. I arrived last year and made a pact with the club: to be a champion of Italy twice. For me it’s a great satisfaction but there’s still a lot to win with Juve.
“We are a war machine. We want to win every game, for Allegri now the quality of the performance counts more than the result, because he’s already thinking about next year to be at the top in the Champions League.
“Being knocked out in the last 16 was a shame, because this year the team was more ready mentally to win the cup than before.
“Juve is the best in Europe as an organisation. My teammates told me that two years ago there was uncertainty in Europe.
“Now the mentality has changed and you can see that in the big games: when we face teams like Bayern I can see in the faces of my teammates that we are Juve and we can beat anyone.
“There’s enormous quality in this team. If we can put it in our heads that we’re the best in Europe then we can become that. We’re building something solid. Next year will be really important.”
