Patrice Evra reveals Juventus medics spotted an allergy that had gone undiagnosed at Manchester United for seven years.
The 34-year-old full-back spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live about his move to Serie A.
“When I came here they said I’m allergic to eggs,” Evra explained.
“I ate them every day in Manchester. I was vomiting in training at first. I went to the hospital and they told me I had been playing with an ulcer and was lucky it was not bleeding inside.”

Evra also believes even this short time in Serie A has improved him as a player.
“I have learned a lot about football – how to be more professional, even if I was professional in Manchester.
“Here in Italy, it is more like a chess game – you have to think about every move.”
