Gabriel Batistuta admits his most beautiful memory as a Fiorentina player is ‘every day in the 10 years I was there.’
Batistuta scored over 200 goals in nine seasons with Fiorentina between 1991 and 2000, but his time in Tuscany yielded just a Serie B title and Coppa Italia.
Nonetheless, when asked by Corriere dello Sport what his favourite memory was, the legendary striker replied: “Every day in the 10 years I was there.
“I understood the Fiorentina fans and they understood that I’d married into the Viola cause.

“I thought if I could win something with them, it would be beautiful. I wasn’t able to, but I went far in trying to get there, plus I learned that Florence was a beautiful city.
