Samuel Eto’o said he’ll always have a soft spot for Inter, but the Sampdoria “colours are in my heart too now.”
The Cameroon international arrived in January from Premier League club Everton, effectively replacing Manolo Gabbiadini after the sale to Napoli.
“I want to thank the Sampdoria fans for welcoming me with all their passion and support,” Eto’o told reporters at a gala event in Genoa.

“I want to thank the Sampdoria fans for welcoming me with all their passion and support,” Eto’o told reporters at a gala event in Genoa.
“Inter will always remain in my heart, but now I have these colours in my heart too. The first year is always the most difficult, but we can do better next season.
“The important thing on Sunday is to win against Empoli.”
Samp had been challenging for third place at one stage, but have dropped down to seventh after a poor run of form.
“We have a difficult road ahead of us, but I hope it can become wonderful.”
