PM Mark Rutte held a press conference this evening to extend the lockdown order from June 1 to September 1, imposed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
They cannot play behind closed doors either, because police would still need to be present for games.
The Dutch football federation (KNVB) will make its own statement inevitably declaring the 2019-20 season over.

It comes just hours after UEFA released a note confirming they would allow some domestic tournaments to conclude early.
“There was a strong recommendation given to finish domestic top division and cup competitions, but some special cases will be heard once guidelines concerning participation to European competitions – in case of a cancelled league – have been developed.”
Unlike the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium, where Club Brugge had already won the title and there was only one game left of the regular season, the Eredivisie has nine rounds remaining.
Ajax and AZ Alkmaar are joint top with 56 points from 25 matches, so it is not clear how they are going to decide on a winner, or if the title will be assigned at all.
