Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi reveals Fiorentina snubbed the chance to get Daniele Rugani, Eder and Andrea Raggi.
The two clubs are neighbours in Tuscany and often exchange players on loan.
“I continue to take players from Fiorentina, but they do not do the same with Empoli,” Corsi told Radio Blu.
“Rugani could’ve been a Fiorentina player, the same goes for Eder a few years ago and Raggi, who is now the captain of Monaco.

“In any case, I am happy to carry on asking Fiorentina for players and getting the best out of them, like Matias Vecino.”
Empoli sold Rugani to Juventus over the summer, though he has struggled for playing time in Turin.
Eder is currently Capocannoniere at Sampdoria with six goals.
The Brazilian-Italian was at Empoli from 2006 to 2010, moving on to Brescia, Cesena and Sampdoria.
