The agent representing Guangzhou Evergrande forward Elkeson has rubbished suggestions his client will move to Italy.

The 24-year-old has been in China for less than season, but after an impressive campaign for Marcelo Lippi’s men, has been heavily linked with a switch to Serie A.

Napoli and Inter are thought to be just some of the teams interested in his services, but the goalscorer’s agent has claimed that those stories are simply untrue.

“Elkeson to Italy? He’s not for sale, it’s as simple as that,” Davide Lippi told CalcioMercato.

“He’s not even on the market, so he’ll definitely be staying in Guangzhou.”
