Eintracht Frankfurt warn Inter over Kostic January move

Eintracht Frankfurt director Markus Krösche says Inter target Filip Kostic won’t leave the club in January, but the Nerazzurri have a plan to sign the 29-year-old at the end of the season.

Inter have identified Kostic as Ivan Perisic’s replacement for 2022-23.

Perisic sees his contract expire at the end of the season, while Kostic’s deal in Germany runs out in 2023.

“We don’t want to sell Kostic, N’Dicka or Kamada in January,” Krösche told Bild.

“They are important players for us and we won’t let them go in January. We must recover the lost ground in the second part of the season, so we can’t afford to lose them.”

According to Calciomercato.com, Kostic has already reached an agreement over a €2.5m-a-year deal with the Nerazzurri.

The Serie A champions hope to secure the player’s services for €8-10m, fewer than the €15m required by the Bundesliga side when Lazio wanted to sign Kostic last summer.

This season, Kostic, 29, has scored two goals and delivered five assists in 13 appearances across all competitions with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Kostic has changed his agent, picking the Italian Alessandro Lucci.
