Eusebio Di Francesco confirms Gregoire Defrel is almost a Roma player and reveals the club are on the lookout for a new left-back.
Reports on Tuesday evening emerged that Roma had agreed a €20m deal for Defrel, and Di Francesco admitted the striker was close to joining the Giallorossi, while reinforcements were lined up for another problem position.
“On Defrel, I can say that it’s getting closer, but it’s not done yet,” he said at a Press conference.

“I’ve read so much about him, we want to improve the quality of our squad and I want to create competition within our team.
“I think he’s a great alternative to Dzeko and he can also play on the right wing. I’d be happy if he came.
“Left-back? [Hector] Moreno was signed, knowing that he could play at centre-back and left-back.
“Still, we’re currently without a left-back due to Luca Pellegrini’s injury and we’re looking for a solution in the market, so for now [Juan] Jesus can play there.”
