There were reports circulating in the British Press last week that the Premier League outfit were considering making a bid for the Italy international.
However, the Partenoepi President has insisted that if anyone wants to sign the forward, they’ll have to pay much more than that.
“[€20m for Insigne] I smiled about that,” he told La Repubblica. “Lorenzo’s valuation is nearer €60m or €70m.”
The club’s chief then commented on the plans to build a new stadium and transfer targets for this summer.
“If we are not competitive economically then we cannot invest €300m for a new stadium. We are ready to sign a three-year agreement, then in February 2015 we will present a project to the City Council.
“We are ready to invest, but wisely.
“Lamela? I wanted him a year ago. As a partner for Higuain we already have Zapata. But we are looking for a replacement for Pandev.
“Sandro? He’s one of our objectives, but not the only one.”
