Speculation was that Adriano Galliani would use the opportunity of crossing paths with Aurelio De Laurentiis at the FIGC presidential election in Rome on Monday to formalise interest in the midfielder.

The Gazzetta dello Sport today suggest talks over the Switzerland international were held, albeit briefly, whilst indications are that any move is still a while away yet.

The Rossoneri are particularly keen to wait until the apparent asking price of €4m is lowered, whilst the Vesuviani are reportedly reluctant to let the 28-year-old go just yet, with one eye on his potential requirement to play in the Champions League Play-off test with Athletic Bilbao.
