The club coached by Fabio Cannavaro, is said to have made advances for the Bosnian, before setting their sights on Fiorentina forward Nikola Kalinic.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Dzeko received a salary offer of €16m per season, but opted to stay in Rome for family reasons.

The 30-year-old has plundered 13 goals in 17 league starts for the Giallorossi this term, thus attracting attention from the super-rich Chinese outfit.
