Interestingly, the Roman paper believes that coach Paulo Fonseca is contemplating using Zaniolo as a false nine rather than the alternative, Nikola Kalinic.
However, now Radio Tele Stereo report that Dzeko has indeed lost his battle to recover, and won’t play any part in tonight’s game.
Roma will utilise Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Diego Perotti as wingers, with Zaniolo playing through the middle.
Justin Kluivert, Javier Pastore, Federico Fazio, Davide Zappacosta and Bryan Cristante haven't made the trip.
The Giallorossi are also waiting on another problem, as goalkeeper Pau Lopez is in doubt with a musclar issue he sustained in this morning's training session.
