Dzeko decent but Lautaro disappointing in Inter’s win over Venezia

Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez both had fairly forgettable performances in Inter’s 2-1 win over Venezia last night, but the Bosnian’s late winner salvaged his evening.

The former Manchester City striker was one of the worst players on the pitch against the newly promoted side, missing a variety of chances, but he saved himself from negative reviews after his late winner secured all three points for the Nerazzurri.

Unfortunately for Lautaro, things were less simple, and he truly had an evening to forget; The Argentinian striker was noted by the Italian press for being invisible in the match, contributing little, with Corriere della Sera writing that ‘he doesn’t even fight, he’s just lost’. He has not scored in the league since the 5-0 win over Salernitana back in December.
