Roma star Paulo Dybala admits he doesn’t know what will happen at the end of the season, but wants to continue playing under José Mourinho amid rumours of a summer move to Manchester United.
Reports in Spain and England claim the Red Devils want to sign the Argentinean at the end of the season, using a €12m clause available in his contract.
“I respect the clause, but it’s something between my agents at the club. I don’t know what will happen at the end of the season,” Dybala said at a press conference on Wednesday.
“I don’t know about my future; imagine the coach’s. I’d like to be coached by him [Mourinho] because he is one of the best, I want to win with him. Now, I only think about doing well tomorrow. I want to win with Roma and help the team qualify for the Champions League.”
The Giallorossi visit RB Salzburg in the first leg of the Europa League play-offs on Thursday and Dybala wants to help Roma win another European trophy.
“It is something I miss. I’ve won a few titles in my career and I hope I can add one at a European level because it has a different flavour,” he said.
“We know there are teams strong than us, but you never know in football. The draw can help, for example, Barcelona and Manchester United will meet now. However, we should only think about ourselves.
“We know Salzburg are a difficult team to face, but we are ready for tomorrow,” the striker continued.
“Winning the World Cup is the best thing for a player, but these are different competitions in which I also want to win. I want to give my best and help Roma lift the cup.”
Dybala joined Roma as a free agent last summer, signing a contract until 2025. He has scored 11 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season.
