Douglas Costa, who is still owned by Juventus, is only a step away from signing for MLS side LA Galaxy.
The 31-year-old Brazilian forward had a tough experience with Gremio in Brazil, suffering relegation with the side, and so he’s decided to try out a new experience in North America.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Douglas Costa will not return to Juventus but instead will spend six months on loan with LA Galaxy. He has agreed personal terms with the American side until the summer and is ready to make the move.
The Brazilian winger will then have to re-discuss these terms with Juventus in the summer, as he is still contracted to the Bianconeri until 2023. He will not play a role in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
Douglas Costa joined Juventus in 2017 on loan from Bayern Munich, and his stay was made permanent 12 months later. He won three Scudetti and one Coppa Italia title during his time in Turin.
