Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa are among the nominees for the Golden Boy award.
The prize was established by Italian newspaper Tuttosport in 2003, and acknowledges the best player in Europe under the age of 21.
Previous winners include Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba; and today the nominees for this year’s award have been announced.
There are two Italians on the list, Chiesa and Donnarumma, as well as Napoli’s Guinean midfielder Amadou Diawara and Rodrigo Bentancur of Juventus.
